Nicole Voltan was born in Mestre (VE) in 1984. She graduated at Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice.
In 2007, she had her first solo show, Nel Segreto di una Valigia, at the Cultural Centre Bertold Brecht in Milan. In 2011, during the Photography Festival organized by Macro Testaccio, Nicole showed in Rome with the exhibition, Sistema Entropia, at the gallery Whitecubealpigneto, today called La Stellina Arte Contemporanea.
In 2013, she held her second solo exhibition, 88 Trame, at La Stellina Arte Contemporanea. In October 2016, she participated to the Rome Art Week with the show, Exalt the Past - Survive the Future, held at her studio in Rome.
Among her group exhibitions, Art più business uguale Love, at Mole Vanvitelliana in Ancona and Intreccio, at Rocca di Umbertide in Perugia, both in 2017.
In 2014, she participated to a group show with José Angelino, Gas Stelle e Led, at Museo Nuova Era of Bari.
She realised two permanent installations, Muri Dipinti, at Gavazzana in the Province of Alessandria and Dare Senso ai luoghi, SAC Mari tra le mura, which was part of an artist residence programme in Mola di Bari, sponsored by Fondazione Pino Pascali.
Nicole’s works are the result of the strong relationship between art and science, which is expressed through different artistic techniques, used by the artist, such as painting, design, site-specific installation and sculpture.
Her scientific aptitude is inspired by nature that is microscopically analysed and the detail is amplified through a profound methodological study.
Nicole lives and works in Rome.
