Francesca Matarazzo was born in 1978 in Naples, where lives and works.

In 2018 she had her solo exhibition at the Mucciaccia Contemporary gallery in Rome entitled Ipergrafie, curated by Giulia Abate. On this occasion are exposed works that show the different techniques used by her: the handwritings are printed in relief on slate, on aluminium sheets, and especially shaped on layers of “cementine” covered with acrylic paints.

In 2018 on the occasion of Manifesta 12 Palermo, she held the exhibition entitled Ocatogonal Hall, curated by Cesare Baisini Selvaggi at the Oneta di Sperlinga Palace.

The outcome is a real writing technique, in which the artist focuses on the evocative power of the word. The quotes she chooses to use are those to which fragments of her personal experience belong.
